Ask Me
Before reading this poem I thought it was a poem about questioning someone's life. And I think that is the poems purpose, questioning. this poem even made me question. What I think this poem is trying to say is that the man that's watching he river is comparing his emotions to how the river looks. He bases his decisions on the river. sometimes people have questions but don't really say much. which I definitely agree because I am the same way. Is always good to ask questions because there is no such thing as a stupid question. I like this poem a lot I for sure recommend it to a friend.

I liked this poem the best out of the selected readings. I believe that the author is talking about life, particularly maybe his own life. I do agree with you in that he relates with the river, but in a way of it being his thought process, and how his thoughts are like a river in many ways towards life. I also believe that his descriptions of nature and relating it to life can be interpreted as life being like nature, something that just has its own flow and stream, and something that cannot be controlled really by actions or words. I liked your analysis!
ReplyDeleteI really like this poem, because the poem is showing us how life goes the way it is , including the author. I have to agree with your question, because the authors talks to the river what he has done in his life. Even though the river has a reflection as a mirror. And he thought it through that he is going to keep going and never give up. I love reading this poem
