Fire and ice
Fire and Ice by Robert Frost talks about the world being split into two. The bad side which is fire and the good side which is ice. What I like about this poem is that it can be interpret into anything you want. I also saw this poem as meaning a relationship between fire and ice (hot and cold), and how people meet and can have a relationship that is fire and ice. I recommend this poem to anyone because they can interpret it however they want.

Silence
I believe silence by marlanne Moore is about a father telling his child how superior people act like. They usually never stay long because they think others are beneath them, they crave power as represented by how the mouse is victimized by the cat, and that their restraint in not speaking of their superiority shows more than if they were to talk about their greatness. I really enjoyed this poem and would recomand it to a friend.

This is just to say
This is just to say by William Carlos is a very simple poem. This poem remind me of how people usually treat each other. This poem talks about how he ate the plum that he wasn't suppose to eat cause it wasn't his. People usually do things they aren't suppose to do but they do it anyways. Just how people aren't suppose to sin but we still sin any ways. I view this poem as a message that is being sent how people get tempted to do whatever they want. I really enjoyed this poem and would recommend it to others because I like the message it sents

Cinderella
The poem Cinderella by Anne Sexton was a very funny poem. I found this poem very entertaining because of the way she was being sarcastic. She mimics the original fairy tale Cinderella. Anne's tone in this poem is very sarcastic because on the way she uses similes to compare Cinderella and on the way she uses the repetition "That Story". What I kind of didn't like about this poem is that it was more of a short story than an actual poem. But I would definitely recomand this poem to a friend just so that they can see the realisim in fairy tales and the different ideas.

I Shall Paint My Nails Red
I shall Paint My Nails Red by Carole Satyamurti. I thought this poem was going to be a poem about women and their sexuality because red is a sexy color. I find this poem to be very powerful. Red represents fire or sunrise and a rage of love, passion and beauty. In this poem I think Carole puts out many different emotions with the color red. she puts out reason why her nail are painted read. Each reason is different because she is showing different emotions. the reason I like this poem because of the emotions that poem resembles. I would definitely recommend this poem to a friend because I think anyone can easily relate to it.

lonley Hearts
Lonely hearts by Wendy cope was a wonderful poem. The theme of that I got out of this poem is searching for something or someone. the reason the I find this to be the theme is because in the poem she is describing something that she is looking for. It sounds like she is making a profile of something or someone she wants. she is n search for love. I strong recommend this poem because it pretty funny and everyone can relate to it. what I didn't like about the poem is that in on stanza she mentions how she is straight, that confused me because she mentions that she is looking for someone who is gay.

Her Kind
The poem "Her Kind" by Ann Sexton before reading this poem i thought it was going to be about a women that feel isolated and wants to be known a put out there. what i loved about this poem is how it connects to society. when i read this poem it made me think about how women cant act like themselves in society. She talks about society already putting an image on women and if they dont follow it they are known to be witches. There was nothing that i didnt like about this poem. I loved it! i would recommend it to a friend male and female.

Ask Me
Before reading this poem I thought it was a poem about questioning someone's life. And I think that is the poems purpose, questioning. this poem even made me question. What I think this poem is trying to say is that the man that's watching he river is comparing his emotions to how the river looks. He bases his decisions on the river. sometimes people have questions but don't really say much. which I definitely agree because I am the same way. Is always good to ask questions because there is no such thing as a stupid question. I like this poem a lot I for sure recommend it to a friend.

The Yellow Wallpaper
The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman talks about a women that goes to a summer house with her know it all husband and she basically becomes obsess with the yellow wallpaper in the room. Before reading this story I thought that it was going to be about a couple moving in to a house that just had yellow wallpaper. I liked the mystery in this story. I didn't like the fact that obsession over the wall paper was going to far. I would recommend it to a friend because I feel that there is a moral behind the story. It can be how ever you interpret it.

Young Goodman Brown
Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne was a little confusing to me. I expected it to be about a man who lost his family and is going through a difficult time. What was confusing to me about this story was how Goodman Brown ended up in the forest. What was the reason for him going to the forest? I didn't like the fact on how it all could of been a dream and he felt that he couldn't trust no one in the village no more, not even his own wife. I honestly would not recommend this story to a friend just because I didn't like how it ended and it confused me a little.
